Hood time!

It's prime time summer weather again, and I've made my way to Mt Hood. This is sort of an annual trip for me, and there's always a nostalgic feeling when I get here. This is where I got my break at snowboard photography, and it feels good to pay tribute to place you owe so much too.

Winchers

I spent last week shooting some winching, around the local hood. Winching is a relatively new way to ride down rivers and spillways, using a gas powered engine to pull. It can be risky at times, because the winch driver is almost just as resposible as the rider, to ensure speed and safety. Nick Ennen and Kyle Walton teamed up, and we got some really good shots that will most likely get publised!

Luca peers over the edge, as Nick gets ready to hit the falls.

Kyle Walton came up from Alabama to wakeskate down some waterfalls.

The cops decided to show up, and were thouroughly confused as to what we were doing.

Kyle prepping for a rock gap into some questionably disgusting water...

This is a good perspective of what the Whatcom Falls gap is like. It's a good 25 feet, and you either have to land between two rocks, or clear them.

Merm's part deux

Here's some more photos from the second shoot I did with Mir's clothing. This is a series of rainjackets that she made, and they are super awesome. All clear material, with cool pockets and such. Thanks to Jordan, Sylvia, and Sam for making the shoot super easy, and fun too. Do yourself a favor and check the final showing here! Thanks again Merms. I also shot a bit of medium format (these are all digi cropped to look medium, for those who couldn't tell) and I'll be posting those, once I get them developed. Please comment on which one's you like better.... digi, or film.

3rd Cover this year!

Just landed the third cover of the year. This one is Snowboarder Australia's first issue of the year, and it's the Robbie Walker guest editor issue. Check the Snowboarder Australia website for a behind the scenes of how the shot was made!

Cali!

Quick trip to Cali, means some beach time. Couple snappers I took with some Ilford 3200. Kinda got tweaked, cause I left this roll in my bag through the xray. Cool light leak effects tho.

Mir's clothing line

I shot my friend Mir's clothing line last weekend. Miriam has been going to school for fashion design the last 2 years, and has some serious skills when it comes to clothing. Thanks to Nora, Claire, Angie, and Splat for being so patient and easy to work with on this shoot. Lemme know what you think of the shots!
